Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective and last updated: 28 July 2026
You can cancel a recurring plan at any time. Cancellation prevents the next renewal and does not normally end access you already paid for. Web purchases include the refund protection below, in addition to mandatory legal rights.
1. Web subscriptions
Web subscriptions are sold by Konit, LLC and processed by Stripe. You may cancel through Dublo's billing portal or email support@dublolearn.app. Cancellation becomes effective at the end of the current paid period unless the billing portal states otherwise. We will not charge the next renewal after a cancellation is properly submitted.
2. Trials
If checkout shows a free trial, it converts to the displayed paid plan on the displayed charge date unless cancelled before the trial ends. Cancel before that date to avoid the first charge. A trial may be limited to one per person or payment method.
3. Web refund promise
You may request a full refund of your first web payment within 14 calendar days after that payment by emailing us from the address associated with the purchase. Unless required by law or expressly approved by us, renewal payments made after the first 14-day period are not refundable.
This promise applies once. It covers the first web payment you ever make to Dublo — one refund per person and per account. If you take it and later subscribe again, that later payment is not covered by this promise, and neither are any payments after it. We keep a record of refunds we have granted so we can apply this consistently rather than case by case. Your statutory rights are unaffected: where the law gives you a right of withdrawal or a refund, that right stands on its own terms regardless of this paragraph.
Premium benefits you have already used are deducted. Two things that come with a paid plan have a cash value the moment you use them: the free trial lesson with a tutor, and lesson credit you earned and then spent on a lesson. If you have used either before asking for a refund, we deduct what you used from the amount returned — the free trial lesson at the list price shown on that tutor's profile, and spent credit at its face value. Nothing else about the plan is deducted, and if you used neither, the refund is the full amount. Lesson credit still sitting unspent in your balance is cancelled with the refund rather than deducted: you are not charged for a benefit you did not use. A refund never reaches below zero, and lessons you paid for with your card are refunded separately under Section 7, not through this deduction.
Example: on a $19.99 monthly plan, a member who has taken a free trial lesson listed at $11 and spent no credit receives $8.99 back. A member who has taken no trial lesson receives the full $19.99.
This deduction is part of our voluntary refund promise. Where you have a statutory right of withdrawal — for example as a consumer in the EU or UK — that right applies on its own terms, and any deduction is limited to the proportionate value of what was actually supplied to you before you withdrew. Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are controlled by those stores (Section 5); this deduction does not apply to them, but a free trial lesson taken through such an account is still counted if you later ask us for a voluntary refund of a web payment.
We may refuse or reduce a voluntary refund in cases of fraud, repeated refund abuse, chargeback abuse or substantial copying or misuse of protected content. This limitation does not reduce a non-waivable statutory right.
4. Lifetime purchases
If a lifetime plan is offered, it means access for the commercially supported lifetime of the Dublo service, not the lifetime of an individual. A first lifetime web purchase is covered by the 14-day refund promise. Mandatory rights for discontinued or non-conforming digital services remain unaffected.
5. Apple App Store and Google Play
Apple or Google controls cancellations and refunds for purchases processed by its store. Use the subscription and refund tools in the relevant store account. We cannot directly reverse a charge controlled by a store, but support can help identify the correct route.
6. Affiliate discounts and commissions
A customer refund is based on the amount actually paid. If a referred purchase is refunded, disputed, fraudulent or reversed, any related affiliate commission is cancelled or recovered under the Affiliate Program Agreement.
7. Tutor lessons
Live one-to-one lessons with independent tutors are paid per lesson, separately from subscriptions. You can cancel a booked lesson free of charge up to 12 hours before its start time; we then refund the lesson price to your original payment method. Cancellations later than 12 hours before the start, and missed lessons, are not refundable — the tutor reserved that time for you.
If the tutor cancels or does not attend, you receive a full refund. If a technical failure on our side prevents the lesson from taking place, contact support@dublolearn.app within 48 hours and we will refund the lesson or rebook it at no cost. The price shown on the tutor's profile is the full price you pay, and it is shown before you confirm a booking.
Lesson credit and free trial lessons. When a refund is due on a lesson you paid for partly with lesson credit, the credit part returns to your credit balance and the card part returns to your card — the split is never converted into cash. Any lesson credit you earned on that booking is removed at the same time, since the purchase that earned it was reversed. If a refund is not due (a cancellation later than 12 hours before the start, or a missed lesson), the lesson counts as taken: neither the card payment nor the credit is returned. A free trial lesson that is cancelled with a refund restores your one-time trial entitlement; one cancelled without a refund does not.
8. Mandatory consumer rights
Nothing in this Policy limits rights that cannot be waived. Some countries provide cancellation, conformity or refund rights for digital services. Where immediate access to digital content affects a statutory withdrawal right, the checkout information and applicable law control.
9. How to request help
Email support@dublolearn.app with the account email, purchase date, plan and payment provider. Do not send full card details. Approved Stripe refunds are returned to the original payment method; bank processing time varies.
