DubloLearn Refund Policy
Effective date: 1 September 2026 · Version: 1.0
This policy forms part of the Learner Terms of Service. It tells you when you get money back and how. Your contract is with Konit, LLC.
Nothing here limits any right you have under law.
1. Your first lesson is guaranteed
The first lesson you ever buy on DubloLearn comes with a full money-back guarantee.
If it was not what you hoped for, tell us within 7 days, say why in a sentence, and we put the full amount back on your card. Any reason counts. We ask for one because it helps us improve the platform, not because you have to convince us.
This applies once per account — not once per tutor, not once a year.
Konit pays for this. Your tutor is not charged for it.
2. Lessons
| What happened | What you get |
|---|---|
| The tutor cancelled, or did not appear | Full amount back, automatically. You do not have to ask. Section 4 says where the money goes. |
| The tutor was significantly late | Same — automatic, no request needed. |
| Our platform failed — the room would not open, the video was unusable | Full amount back automatically, plus a free rebooking with the same tutor if you want it. |
| You cancelled | Your tutor’s own cancellation policy applies. It is on their profile and shown again at checkout before you pay. |
| You did not appear | Your tutor’s own policy applies. |
| The lesson happened but something was seriously wrong | Tell us what happened. This is not the first-lesson guarantee and it is not automatic: we look into it, we ask your tutor for their side, and we decide. If we decide in your favour, Konit pays — we do not claw it back from the tutor unless they accept it. |
After your first lesson, refunds are not unconditional. Beyond the automatic cases above, we need to hear what went wrong and it needs to be something real.
Each tutor sets their own cancellation policy. We do not set it and we do not override it, except where the law or this policy requires.
3. The DubloLearn Study subscription
- Cancelled mid-period: you keep access until the period ends; no refund of that period.
- Charged after you cancelled, or the wrong amount: full refund to your original payment method, and we correct the error.
- We changed the terms and you did not accept: pro-rata refund of the unused part.
- Study was unusable for a meaningful period because of us: pro-rata refund or credit, your choice.
4. Where the money goes
4.1 When you asked for the refund
You choose between your card and DubloLearn balance, and we do not process it until you have. For the first-lesson guarantee the default is your card.
4.2 When the refund happened automatically
A tutor did not appear, or we cancelled a lesson. You may not be at your computer, so we do not make you wait: the money goes to your DubloLearn balance, so you can rebook immediately, and we tell you at once — in the app and by email.
You have 7 days to move it to your card instead. After 7 days it stays as balance — see the Duble Terms.
4.3 Both paths
If we cannot reach your card — it expired, the account is closed — the amount stays as balance and we tell you why.
Nothing here limits any right you have under law to a refund to your original payment method.
5. How to ask
From the lesson or the invoice in your account, or by emailing support@dublolearn.app. Tell us which lesson or charge, and what happened.
6. If we say no
We tell you why, in writing, referring to the part of this policy or the tutor’s policy we relied on and the facts we relied on.
You can ask us to look again at support@dublolearn.app.
7. Chargebacks
If you think you have been charged wrongly, please tell us first — it is faster than a chargeback and we will fix genuine errors. If you do raise a chargeback, we will not close your account or confiscate your balance for doing so.
8. What we do not refund
- Lessons you attended and were satisfied with.
- Time already supplied on a subscription, except as set out above.
- Anything where the request comes more than 90 days after the charge, unless the law gives you longer.
