Copyright Policy

Konit, LLC removes infringing material and terminates repeat infringers.
1. Reporting infringement (DMCA, 17 U.S.C. § 512)
Send a written notice to our designated agent containing the six elements required by § 512(c)(3)(A):
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or someone authorised to act for them.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it — a direct link is best.
- Your contact details: address, telephone number, and email.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the owner.

Section 512(f): knowingly and materially misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees.
2. What we do
We remove or disable the material, notify the person who posted it, and give them a copy of your notice.
3. Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address with:
- Your signature.
- Identification of the material and where it was before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the district where you live — or, if outside the United States, for any district where Konit may be found — and that you will accept service of process from the complainant.
We forward it to the complainant. If they do not file a court action within the period § 512(g) allows, we may restore the material.
4. Repeat infringers
We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe. We keep a record of notices for this purpose.
5. Tutors’ own materials
Tutors keep ownership of the teaching materials they create. Konit claims no ownership. Materials a tutor shares with a learner are for that learner’s own study; republishing or reselling them is infringement and we will act on it.
