DubloLearn Community Guidelines

Effective date: 1 September 2026 · Version: 1.0

These Guidelines form part of the Learner Terms of Service and the Tutor Agreement. They apply to everyone on DubloLearn — learners and tutors alike.

1. Treat people decently

Not allowed:

Note for tutors: an accent, a nationality, or a name is never a legitimate reason to decline a learner.

2. Be who you say you are

Not allowed: using someone else’s identity or photo; inventing or overstating qualifications, certificates or experience; running more than one account; letting someone else teach lessons booked in your name (a declared, vetted assistant under the Tutor Agreement is fine); or lying about whether you are a business.

3. Lessons

4. Money

Not allowed: asking a learner you met here to pay you off-platform for a lesson booked here; asking for or offering payment for a review; asking for personal payment details; or trying to arrange payment through a channel that avoids our fees. (A learner who finds you independently after your relationship here ends is not covered by this.)

Not allowed: manipulating ratings — buying reviews, trading reviews, pressuring a learner to change one, or offering anything in exchange for one.

5. Content

Do not upload or share: material you do not have the right to use; illegal content of any kind; child sexual abuse material — which we report to authorities immediately and without notice; malware; or anyone’s personal data without their consent.

6. Privacy

What is said in a lesson stays in the lesson. Do not share another person’s messages, recordings, photos, contact details or personal circumstances with anyone. This binds tutors after the relationship ends.

7. The platform

Do not scrape, reverse-engineer, attack, overload, or probe the service; do not circumvent access controls; do not use automated tools to book, message or review.

8. What happens when a rule is broken

There is no fixed penalty table, because the same words mean different things in different situations. There is a process:

  1. We tell you what we think happened and which rule it engages.
  2. We ask you first, except where there is an immediate risk to someone’s safety, or the law requires us to act at once.
  3. We decide, and we tell you in writing — what we did, which rule, what facts we relied on, and how long it lasts.
  4. You can challenge it. Write to support@dublolearn.app within six months. A person reviews it, never an automated system alone, and where our team makes it possible that person will not be the one who made the first decision. If we were wrong we reverse it, restore what was removed, and remove any mark it left on your record.

Possible outcomes run from a note on file, through removing a piece of content, restricting a listing, suspending an account, to termination. Sexual content involving minors, credible threats of violence, and fraud result in immediate termination.

The full process, including what a decision notice contains, is in section 16 of the Learner Terms of Service and section 12 of the Tutor Agreement.

9. Reporting

Report anything from the report control on the item itself, or at support@dublolearn.app. Tell us what you are reporting, with a link or enough detail to find it, why you think it is illegal or against these Guidelines, and how to reach you if we need more.

You do not have to identify yourself or use any particular form. You may report anonymously and we will still act, but we will not be able to tell you the outcome. Deliberately false reports are themselves a breach of these Guidelines.

Child sexual abuse material and credible threats to life are acted on immediately and reported to the relevant authorities. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

10. Changes

We give notice of material changes as the Learner Terms of Service and the Tutor Agreement require.
